Met up with Skin and the Osiris possee
Duffel came along too
Russel and Duffel got a line at the downhill school
See that guy way in the back…that's Kong..check the Osiris blog for his photos of the day
Mike Fitz came out too. Meanwhile Kong is still blogging.
Someone tried to assinate Duffel
First Biggie, then Pac… now Duffel
Duffel lives but the Brian Anderson hubba has seen better days
It aint easy being Duffel.
After the Signing Corey and a few of us stopped by the Berrics for a quick session.
Sierra came along too
Sierra warms up the Hubba with a 5.0
Flow Trash Vic Zanoni was in the neighborhood so he came by for a minute. Vic rips
Chris Larue came up on a bluntslide
The last time I tried to get something of Duffel for the blog it took him out for a few weeks. This is Duffels go to trick for the night.
The team was at Boarders in Glendale this past Friday. The line was forming quick.
Duffman was signing Duffman boards.
This kid was hyped on Foundation.
Gareth Stehr showed up. It took a while for everyone to recognize him with his beard.
Sierra.
We liked this kids message.
When we ran out of posters. The team just signed shirts.
and boards...duh.
Group shot.
Siera had a couple of things up his sleeve...Check back tomorrow for Part 2 of the day- The Berrics.
Duffel, Gareth, Alex G, Sierra ,David Reyes and Nuge will all be there. Will you?
For those of you who guessed Abdias, you were...
wrong. It was David Reyes of course.
What a nice guy....David couldn't keep his hands off of this 3-legged dog (weird). It kind of freaked me out a little- not gonna lie.
They were posing together and David was putting his chin in the area that the leg use to be.
Angel didn't like the dog either because it messed up his Thrasher mag. David was making excuses for the dog but I didn't feel bad for the dog one bit.
We cleaned up the mess and let the amputee go. We had a few spots on the way home that we had to hit up. The dog tried to run after the van but it turns out 3-legged dogs just aren't that fast.
Met up with Nick Merlino and some friends.
Switch ollie warm up.
Next spot.
Smith check
Nosegrind check
Frontblunt for the cops.
Man down.
Truck down.
Guess which Foundation rider opted to make a fort out of blankets and sheets and sleep in there rather than just sleeping on one of the beds on a previous trip...
As we left off our last skate session here I was overwhelmed by the amount of "real work" I actually had to do. I wanted to make sure that I was allotted the appropriate amount of time to finish up the previous blog. Sorry for the delay.
Angel decides to go shirtless for the remainder of the day. Who could blame him? Its only winter in other places not southern California.
Nevermind. Shirts back on. We're at a real spot...not just the Tum Yeto parking lot picking up other people...
David warms up quick with a backside 50-50. I wonder what his writing fans think of his skating ability. And I wonder what his skating fans think of his writing ability. hmmm.. Only time will tell for young David and his many career options.
Until then he will settle for looking for all his sleep over gear because he's trapped in California on a skate mission.
Angel helps the young buckaroo out with his newly acquired guitar.
Sometimes I feel like they should maybe have selective voting or controlled voting for only those who qualify. This is Not one of those time. Bart Jones with his electoral vote in hand...
On the way up Abdias farted and tried to pretend that he didn't. It was weird....
When we got there. The team was preparing for the madness. What madness you ask?
This madness I answer. A line up the ying yang.
This is what happens at a signing in case you didn't know. The team signs things. It can range from a poster to a board to a boob. It just depends on which way the sun is shining.
Sometimes at signings the team can't make it so we just send card board cut outs of them. Corey was the only real person that made it to this one but no one had a clue.
Corey was pretty bummed that the rest of the team didn't show up.
We wrapped up the day...
...and headed home to sunny San Diego.
It took a little extra cash and some canoodling to get Nuge one last go at this spot. Check out the video.
Make sure to get your butt down to the poll's and vote today!!
I'm taking a one day break before adding the 2nd part to the ducks in a row post. Be patient. It will be worth your wait. Maybe.
Abdias...
Angel...
David...
-----With Special Guests-----
Grant Patterson...
Windsor James...
Jani Laitiala...
We went to the Trapasso Transworld ledge spot. I just named it that because for one he is closely related to our team and because 2 if someone mentions my name around him he might say we're friends. Moving on...
Luckily this spot is only like a stones throw away from Tum Yeto. But if a stone was a kite that didn't have a string because yeah its kinda far in a way. I wouldn't want to throw a rock that far because to make it I would probably have to throw it above Tum Yeto in a airplane to make sure it had enough distance to make it. If that makes sense. Angel bluntslides this one home for Colorado.
While the guys were taking a small break our spot quickly became a baseball diamond.
I wish I had a Keanu Reeves sighting...
The guys took a much needed break and David got amped up on some Mexican style chips...
David: "Hey guy's want to see some new moves"
Guys: "Sure"
Me: "I'm about to blog the shit out of this" "This could be ground breaking never before seen shit"
David: "surely its not"
Me: "oh ok"
David: "ok"
Guys: "ok"
Me: "that's a lot of oks in a row"
Guys "yeah"
David "yeah"
*no one was talking*
Josh was amazed by the technical advancements David had just accomplished in the skateboarding world. What was that even the casper pogo or something... Mooooooving on already...
A quick stop by Tum Yeto to grab former Denver native Gordie who now works at Tum Yeto in San Diego...
Stay tuned for the rest of the day's antics...
