catching up with Nuge

Nuge has 2 days left before heading out to Oklahoma to visit the family for Christmas. I think he's coming down today. Maybe I'll get some new photos of him. Last time I talked to Broach(Circa and Thrasher staff photographer, also Nuge's next door neighbor) the conversation went something like this. Me - "Broach what are you doing" Broach - "hitting this punching bag in the garage" Me - "are you with Nuge?" Broach - "yeah he just bought a speed bag and a punching bag" Broach - "we're training for real life fight club" Me - "good idea" Broach - "hold on a second" Broach - "ok I'm back It was my turn to punch the bag again" Me - "Ok thanks for chatting, I'm over this though" Broach - "Ok yeah I need to get back to "work" anyways" Me - "later" Broach - "later"

I guess you could call it a update

With the holidays nearing I've been catching up with the team to figure out all they're plans... -Corey just got back from the Osiris video tour in Europe and will be at home for the holidays with his family. He is back to rolling around again on a skateboard. -Gareth has been busy with all that goes in to having a new house. Painting and decorating constantly. Expect new Gareth Foundation and Pig ads to follow shortly... -Nuge splurged and had Christmas for himself a bit early. Turned his garage into some sort of fight club style gym. Complete with punching bag and speed bag. Also purchasing a new huge TV for his house. Hes now trying to make it back to Oklahoma for the holidays. -Mike just got back from a short trip in Chicage to skate. Now back in northern California working on a 411vm part. -Sierra returned yesterday from Montana where he visited his family. He will be back until the weekend when he flys out for Christmas with the girlfriend. -Abdias will be heading back to Tampa, FL for the holidays. Spending time with both his family and also his friends at The Skatepark of Tampa. Following the holidays you can catch him at Tampa Am in January. -Angel is in Hawaii right now with Volcom. Must be a nice change compared to the snow in Colorado that David was telling me about. After the Hawaii trip its back to snowy Colorado for Angel to hibernate the holidays away with some video games and myspacing... -David decided the snow was too much for him and is flying out on the 1st of January back to sunny southern California after spending Christmas with his family. Look for Davids first Foundation ad to hit any day now. Its a doozy. -Tommy has been training in the desert lately at his local skatepark. Spending the holidays at home in Indio, CA.

Everyone knows that Gareth has been ripping lately right? Ok. Cool. Just checking... This guy named Tim sent in his Foundation tattoo. Not his actual Foundation tattoo. A photo you could say. Its not like he cut it off his arm and put this bloody piece of skin into a envelope and then mailed it off. Just clarifying.. C-L-A-R-I-F-Y-I-N-G... looks about right, right? I got this email last night from the man. Its about a letter we recieved from one of the many fans of the Fiberlam board construction. So of course I did post it because I like getting paychecks and free skateboards and stuff... Heres a bigger version...

As we traveled through the United States on King of The Road we made a short stop in Chicago. I don't even remember if we stayed there or not for a night. But I do remember Sierra kickflipping this gap and Abdias front boarding the rail.

I'm thinking about changing David's skateboard gimmick from "little kid" to "chess". Not sure if anybodys tackled the chess/skater market yet. Let me know with some encouraging comments below if you back it. I could be way off here though...
